Richard A. "Dick" Shull, 75, of Greenview, passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at his home. Dick was born November 2, 1941 in Springfield, the son of Lowell I. and Violet Bruner Shull. Dick graduated from Tri City High School in Buffalo, IL. He worked at Bethlehem Steel Mill for 32 years as a diesel mechanic for firepits. He was a member of DAV. Dick enjoyed coon hunting, billiards, and bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Norma Jean Shultz, William, Joe, Jack, and Kenny Shull; and one grandson. He is survived by his daughters, Sandy (Nicole Salyer) Johnson of Hobart, IN and Virginia Shull of Witchita, KS; sons, Richard Shull of Greenview, IL and Johnny (Christina Watkins) Perkins of Sikeston, MO; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred (Cindy) Shull of Auburn, IL and Donald Shull of Buffalo, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Shull officiating. Burial will be held at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Williamsville.
