Richard M. Miller

He was born October 26, 1929 in Springfield, the son of the late John H. and Nova Ann (Keen) Miller. He married Mary Ann Tonellato in 1949. She preceded him in death in 1998.

Mr. Miller retired from American Oil Co. after 28 years of service. He retired in 1990 from the State of Illinois after 11 years of service. He was a member of St. Cabrini Church.

Survivors include: 3 sons, Richard (wife Kathy) Miller of Springfield, Jerry (wife Tawny) Miller of Springfield, and John (wife Kaye) Miller of Dawson, IL; 2 daughters Judy (husband Milton) Janes of Springfield, and Janice (husband Patrick) Buscher of Springfield, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a brother, William M. Miller of Irving, TX, and 3 sisters, Vivian Odle of Litchfield, Mary Joan Fagg of Springfield, and Connie (husband Robert) Johnson of Springfield. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins also survive.

Besides his parents and his wife of 49 years, Mary Ann, he was preceded in death by a brother Howard “Ray” Miller.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, IL 62703.

No services are scheduled at this time. Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
