Reno J. Bressan, 77, a lifelong resident of Springfield, died at 1:54 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at Memorial Medical Center. Reno was born July 23, 1926 in Springfield, the son of Joe and Etalia Niccole Bressan. He married Joan Horrighs, January 14, 1961 at St. Cabrini Catholic Church. Mr. Bressan worked for Pillsbury Mills, retiring in 1988 after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Grain Millers Union. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He belonged to the Grandview Dad’s Club and Dale Teubner Little League. He was a member of American Legion Post # 809, he served on the Grandview Village Board for four terms and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Norbert and John. He is survived by his wife: Joan of Springfield; two sons: Brian Bressan (companion, Stephanie Myers) of Springfield, Reno Bressan (companion, Julie Brandel) of Imperial, MO; two sisters: Rena Shaudis of Springfield, Mary Sheehan of Springfield; two brothers: Americo Bressan of Springfield, Joe (wife, Alice) Bressan of Springfield and numerous nieces, nephews and cousin. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 4:30-7:30 p.m Thursday, October 2, 2003. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2003 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Rodney Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1020 N. Milton, Springfield, IL 62702. The family of Reno J.
