Renee Sharon Theresa Burns, 65, of Springfield, died at 6:24 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Renee was born October 14, 1952 in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Robert and Catherine Siegfried Burns. She married Joseph Robert Carlove who loved her dearly. Renee graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. She retired from the United States Postal Service and previously worked as an LPN at the Motherhouse in Riverton. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Central Illinois Day Lily Club and Central Illinois Iris Club. She enjoyed growing flowers. Renee was preceded in death by her father, Robert Burns; brother, John Burns; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Siegfried of Niota, IL. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joseph Robert Carlove; mother, Catherine Campo; and uncle, George Siegfried. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Memorial Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut, Springfield, with Rev. Jim Isaacson, SJC, celebrant.
