He was born on May 18, 1941 in DeKalb, IL, the son of the late Albert Elliot and Pansy Arma Kathryn (Randall) McFall and spent most of his youth growing up and attending school in DeKalb.
He served in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the Air National Guard where he achieved the rank of First Sgt and helped develop the Young Heroes Program. Randy graduated for Northeast Missouri State University in 1969. He also attended Sangamon State University as a graduate student. Most of his professional life was spent with the State of Illinois Department of Insurance, retiring in 2003 after 29 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Madge Lois and Billie Bialas.
He is survived by his wife Marsha Ann (Jellies) whom he married on August 26, 1967, and their 3 children, Cassandra Sue (John) Allen of North Ft. Myers, FL, Corey (Brianna Dennis) McFall of Elkhart, IL, and Megan (John Constantinopoli) McFall of Ft. Myers, FL. Additional survivors include his sister-in-law Linda (Jellies) Cardella and several nieces and nephews.
Randy was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield. He served on Trinity Lutheran School’s Board of Education and volunteered for a number of athletic, school, and meal delivery services. His volunteer work extended to Village Government (Southern View) and any project his wife or children were involved in, His hobbies included gardening and geneology.
He was a devoted husband and father and was always willing to help a neighbor, friend or family member. He will be remembered fondly as a kind and caring soul.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, Springfield. A private family service will be held. Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded,
