Peter F. DeNittis, 96, formerly of Villa Park, died at 12:35 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014 at St. John's Hospital. Peter was born November 13, 1917 in Chicago, the son of Anthony and Rose DeNittis. He married Ida Galassi on April 21, 1956 in Villa Park, IL. Peter proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked for the railroad for 42 years. He was also a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Ida DeNittis; one daughter, Rose (husband, Mark) Tucker of Springfield; one son, Anthony DeNittis (significant other, Debbie Deasy) of Plainfield; three grandchildren, Julie (husband, Patrick) Beveridge of Springfield, Ashley (husband, Craig, Jr.) Richardson of Rochester, and Nicholas DeNittis of Plainfield; two great-grandchildren, Hailey Burris and Lilly Richardson, and one on the way; one sister, Virginia (deceased husband, John) Luzzi of Oak Forest; and several nieces and nephews. Committal Ceremony: 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Chapel Hill Gardens West Hippoch Chapel, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd., Oakbrook Terrace.
