Peggy L. Woodward

Peggy L. �Peg� Woodward, 71, of Springfield, passed away at 1:46 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at St. John�s Hospital. She was born September 14, 1938 in Washington Court House, OH, the daughter of Isaac and Alice Penn Beedy. She married Paul �Mike� Woodward on June 2, 1963 in Washington Court House, OH. He preceded her in death. Peg attended Cincinnati Bible College and became a part of the Springfield community in 1988. She was a volunteer coordinator at Lewis Memorial Christian Village for 18 years. She loved spending time with her grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and two sisters. Peg is survived by one son; John Woodward of Clinton, IL; one daughter, Laura Holmes of Arnold, MO; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. � 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A funeral ceremony will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Paul Cox, officiant. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
