Nancy Jean (Buescher) Cowan, 73, passed to her heavenly home, surrounded by her family and her kitty Pasha, on Saturday, June 24, 2023. She was born in Peoria, IL., on June 19, 1950, to Clarence “Bud” and Wilma (Sellers) Buescher.
She graduated from Peoria Richwoods High School in 1968 and later completed her Bachelor of Arts in Business at Benedictine University in 2005. She married Tim Cowan in 1993 and he survives.
Nancy is also survived by her daughters Kaycee (Mike) Haschemeyer, Kahra (Michael) Sinks, bonus kids, Tara (Rusty) Petty and Gabe Cowan and one cousin Betty (Lee) Cook. She was the proud Grammy of Madison Haschemeyer, Kyle Haschemeyer, Finnegan Petty, Rowan Petty, Ashleigh Sinks, Lauren Sinks, Nicole Sinks.
She worked for Eagle Foods for over twenty years in Danville, Peoria and Springfield and she then worked for Henson Robinson Company retiring in 2012. Nancy was an active member of Cotton Hill United Methodist Church. She was a Chicago Cubs fan, enjoyed golfing, watching her grandkids athletic endeavors and vacationing to Gulf Shores.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday July 8, 2023 at Cotton Hill United Methodist Church, 5931 N. Cotton Hill Road, with pastor Michael Madden officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00am until the time of service Saturday at church.
