Mitzi R. Elliott

She was born on Feb. 14, 1960 in Rockport, TX, the daughter of Wayne and Carol (Hayden) Perkins. She married Darren Elliott on June 24, 1993 in Lincoln, IL and he survives.

Mitzi had retired from her secretary position with Ansar Shrine in Springfield. Prior to that she had worked as a store manager for Walmart.

Besides her husband Darren, she is survived by her parents Wayne and Carol Perkins of Vincennes, IN; her 6 children, Jason (wife Beth) Stephens of Bloomington, IL, Amy Elza of Troy, IL, Savannah Winkel of Vincennes, IN, Mark Elliott of Mt. Olive, IL, Stacy (husband Ryan) Bush of Chatham, IL, and Addison (wife Audrey) Elliott of Fenton, MO; 16 Grandchildren; and 2 siblings, Clyde (wife Gail) Hayden and Toni Sue (husband Steve) Emmett, both of Vincennes, IN.

She was preceded in death by a sister Carrie Hayden.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11 am at her parents’ home, 1531 S. Vigo St., Vincennes, IN. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
