Mildred A. �Boots� Gibbs, 82, of Chatham, formerly of Peoria, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at St. John�s Hospital. She was born on October 29, 1930 in Peoria, IL to the late Willard E. and Agnes Pearl Allen Lubitz. Mildred married Lavere Lee Gibbs, Sr. on October 4, 1947 and he preceded in death as did her daughter, Ruth Ann Gibbs. She was a member of the Chatham United Methodist Church and was active at the Chatham Senior Center. Mildred is survived by her children Diana J. Blackburn of Chatham, Lavere Lee Gibbs, Jr. of Modesto, CA, Karen S. Delgado of Whittier, CA, Norma J. Puch of Camarillo, CA, Annette P Gibbs of Hazelwood, MO, Amanda M (David) Vaughn of Rosebud, MO; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Gary (Judy) Lubitz of Punta Gorda, FL, and Michael (Barb) Lubitz of Peoria, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham. Burial of the urn will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, 2060 West Iles Ave, Suite D, Springfield, Illinois 62704.
