Michael H. Seward

Michael H. Seward, 60, of Springfield, passed away at 10:34 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. Michael was born November 6, 1941 the son of Allen and Mary E. Pope Seward in Butler, IL. He married Sharon A. Schaub June 4, 1977 at First Christian Church in Springfield. Michael, a graduate of Hillsboro High School, was employed by Evans and Mason as a bricklayer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with is family. He was a member of Left Handers Gun Club and Evans & Mason Shooting Team. He shot trap at Edgewood Shooting Park in Auburn, IL for Evans & Mason. He was also a member of Bricklayers Union Local #8. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife: Sharon of Springfield; two sons: William Brian (wife, Cindy M.) Deason of Gold Canyon, AZ, Eric A. (wife, Bobbie L.) Deason of Petersburg; one daughter: Reonna J. Browning of Springfield; mother: Mary E. Seward of Butler, IL; seven grandchildren: Ashley E. Seward, Lindsay J. Seward, Frankie Sheehan, Nathan M. Mitchell, Erin N. Deason, Jessica B. Mitchell, Kacey L. Deason; one great granddaughter: Bailey Elizabeth; one brother: Jack A. Seward of Butler, IL; one sister: Maxine E. Whitworth of Butler, IL, mother-in-law: E. Florence Clymer of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins and his best friend: Duke. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2002. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Edward Maddox officiating. Burial will follow at Wares Grove in Montgomery County, IL.
