Matthew Dylan Meyer

He was born on November 29, 1968, in Evansville, IN, the son of the late Robert B. Meyer II and Karen (Allison) Zaki. He married Nicole Engel on April 19, 2000 in Springfield

Matthew had worked as a quality inspector for RMC Richardson Manufacturing Co, was an assistant Den Leader with Boy Scouts, loved being a father, and enjoyed being in his workshop.

He is survived by his wife Nicole Meyer of Springfield; his son Drake Steven Meyer of Springfield; his mother Karen (husband Bassem) Zaki of Springfield; his step-mother Sharon Wynn of Hement, CA; his brother Robert B. Meyer III of Springfield; his aunt and uncle Susan and Jim Sieber; cousins Wren (husband Tim) Visser and Sinta Lane and their children, Niah and Grae Visser and Valen Lane. Also his aunt and uncle Shirley (Allison) and Charles Brigleib and cousins Lance, Christopher and Nicholas Ferrence. His great aunt Inez (Grammer) Blessing of Murphysboro. His late grandparents were Charlie (Beiser) and Robert B Meyer of Springfield; Bernice (Grammar) and Frank Allison of Murphysboro.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Cremation rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life will take place on October 16th at Capone’s Hideout, 201 W Illinois St, New Berlin from 4pm to 8pm. All are welcome to come share stories and remember his life.
