

Mary Jane Sullivan, 89, of Springfield, died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2003 at Memorial Medical Center. Jane was born July 24, 1914 in Beardstown the daughter of George C. and Anna England Preckwinkle. She married William Sullivan; he preceded her in death May 30, 1984. Mrs. Sullivan graduated from Beardstown High School in 1931 and then moved to Springfield with her family. She was employed by Ameren CIPS (Central Illinois Public Service) as a secretary for 41 years retiring in 1977. She was a member of First Congregational Church United Church of Christ in Springfield for 70 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Azriah and John and one sister: Mildred Ann Warren. She is survived by two sisters: Betty (husband, John E.) Johnson of Falls Church, VA and Mabel Montgomery of Springfield; one brother: George T. (wife, Rosalee) Preckwinkle of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003. Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Dr. Kevan Franklin officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
