She was born in Danville, IL June 26, 1929 the daughter of Luther Asbury and Julia Evelyn (Dalbey) Canaday. Her parents preceded her in death as well as her son, William David Roseberry, and her brother, John Canaday.
Mary retired June 30, 1995 from the State of Illinois Secretary of State after 24 years of service. She was very devoted to her family, especially her son, caring for him as he battled Muscular Dystrophy. She was a lady with a generous heart, helping many organizations and those in need. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her children; Michael G. Roseberry of Port Orange, FL, Mary Beth Roseberry (Terry Moore) of Rochester, IL, and Rev. Daniel (Kathy) Roseberry of Petersburg, IL., there are four grandchildren; Shenoah D. (Brian) Jensen, Benjamin Roseberry, Jacob (Staci) Roseberry and Lydia Roseberry; five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, her sister, Wilhela Pulliam of Norman, OK and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory.
Graveside Memorial Services: 11:00 am Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Oak Ridge Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel 1441 Monument Ave. Springfield, IL 62701.
