When the email popped up today saying "Wish Mark Reynolds a happy birthday"  I was not prepared for the information I read in other texts.  Needless to say it was a real shock.   Mark and I had worked together years ago at Duncan Aviation, and maintained contact through the years.  As many others have said, he was a friend, a mentor, and all around great person.  Whenever I would call him to seek his advice on a project, I knew it would be a well thought out and professional response.  On occasion however, his willingness to accept my phone call, would probably been better if he had let it go to voice mail!!  Even when he was half-way around the world and it was 3 AM, he would (somewhat groggily) still answer!!  Always ready to help, that was Mark.  I will definitely miss him and his expertise in FAA conformity issues. May God comfort your family at this time of loss.   
"When someone we know becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure."  Mark is now a treasure to many of us. 

Rest in peace Mark you have been a good friend and confidant ... thanks for all the help throughout the years ... our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family ... God bless

Very saddened to hear the news of Mark's passing, and my condolences to the entire Reynolds family. I am an aerospace acquaintance and worked many projects with Mark - he was truly one of a kind in his knowledge, passion and experience within the aviation industry, and a joy to work with. I learned a lot from working with Mark and owe many of my successes and experiences in aviation to his teachings and business. Best wishes to the entire family.

While we didn’t have a great deal of directly related work but our paths always seem to cross from time to time. Mark and I would talk about old times from “Safety Counselors” to new times as well. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them; but then an entire life to forget them. 
You won’t be forgotten Mark. 

What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others. 

Mark has touched so many people across the world that will never forget his smile. Mark was a tribute to his profession. A co-worker, a mentor, a friend, husband and father. Many have learned from his ways. Hopefully they will be passed on for generations to come.

Rest easy and keep smiling Mark, you did it right! 


I had the pleasure of knowing my friend Mark for over 15 years.  As Mark was, I am a DAR and Mark became my mentor in the DAR world around the time I met Mark.  He was always there for me when I had questions.  My greatest memories was when Mark called me asking for my opinion on DAR matters, which was only about 10% of the phone call.  The rest was Aviation talk, family and friends.  That was an honor to me.  When Mark past, I felt as if I fell out of the DAR nest.  That is ok, because I was taught and mentored by the best.
I am a better person and DAR because of my friend!!!  I will miss him so much!!!!


Mark had several projects with the FAA that I worked on.  He was always great to talk to and brought a lot of enthusiasm to his work.  It was obvious that he loved aviation and he did whatever he could to keep it safe.  He was truly one of the best FAA designees that I had the fortune to meet.  My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to his family.



So sorry for your loss.   Jenny and I knew Mark from doing project work with him over the last 15 years or so.  I always enjoyed working and traveling with him. Mark always had a fun story to tell and he had a great sense of humor. We will all miss him. RIP Mark.

Just today I heard about Marks passing.  It seems like just yesterday I was chatting on the phone with him.  It is hard to believe that this is true.

I worked with Mark for many years and traveled the world with him.   He was one of my favorite people to do test projects with (both professionally and socially), and we were both recently lamenting that it had been so long since we had crossed paths.  Our two week trip to Serbia was legendary! (the picture is from there)

Mark was a true professional at what he did, and was a true pleasure to work with.  He will be missed by everyone in this industry that ever worked with him.

There are no words. 
I remember when the pledge was done at the HS you would always find your way to Mrs S room. And of course at the end of it was a loud "PLAY BALL".  And only from her room. All the kids loved you.. and would look to make sure you were included.  My heart breaks for you. XO 

We have so many memories together, the hunting stories were hilarious, one that comes to mind that gets me every time is the potato salad story, I will always treassure the hug and words you gave me in May 2011. Your kind heart,humor and love,is bring missed,Rest my dear Compa.until we meet again. I love you.

I’m so sorry to hear of Mark’s passing. I have fond memories of Jill and Adam at Glenwood High School. 
Adam was a wonderful student and student council member and such a pleasure to work with. Jill, you have always been so energetic and full of pep.  My sincere condolences to your family.

A lot of great memories of all our shenanigans!


Mark was a great friend ... we could talk sharing avionics experiences for hours and sometimes did.  He devoted his career to the flying safety of others. He loved his family and was loyal to his many friends.... and he made friends everywhere he went.
Rest now Mark...we will try to take up the slack but it won’t be easy...you left quite a void......
