Mark N. Kessler

Mark N. Kessler, 74, of Springfield, passed away on April 24, 2022 at Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 16, 1947 in Springfield to Bill Kessler and Grace R. Katz. Mark married Kathy Thompson on September 4, 1984 in Springfield and she survives.

Mr. Kessler is also survived by his brother Gary Kessler of Springfield, one aunt Florence Treiber, four first cousins: Sue (Arnie) Cohen, Ron (Nancy) Treiber, Judy Feinberg and Henry (Debbie) Feinberg and his beloved goldendoodle Ace.

Mark started Recycled Records with his brother Gary on the balcony of their families Springfield Furniture Store, eventually taking over the entire building. He enjoyed collecting antique glass and jewelry and playing in National Bridge Tournaments. In 2019 Mark was presented with DSI’s Wally Henderson Lifetime Achievement Award and he will be remembered as a very well loved and thoughtful person.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday April 28, 2022 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street, with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00am until the time of service Thursday at Bisch and Son.
