Marjorie was born on March 1, 1922, in Chatham, the daughter of Charles Lester and Edith Brindle Branham. She married Harry D. Brown in 1940, in St. Charles, MO and he preceded her in death.
Marjorie worked as a beautician for over 50 years. She was the owner of the Northside Beauty Shop in Springfield. Marjorie also owned the Cozy Corner craft store in Chatham, IL, for several years. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lalla Rookh #218. Marjorie was a charter member of Chatham United Methodist Church and loved flower gardening, quilting, sewing, and spending time with her family.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Kenneth, and George Branham; and one great-grandson, Michael Meyers.
Marjorie is survived in death by three daughters, Lawana Barker of Springfield, Judith (husband, Bill) Muench of Cantrall, and Patricia Brown of Chatham, IL; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Branham of Thayer, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center-Chatham.
Private family Graveside Ceremonies will be held with Rev. Miriam Snider officiating.
