

She was born November 29, 1942 the daughter of the late Rev. John and Mary Hobbs. She married Rev. Wallace “Ed” Tribble on August 7, 1965 in Jacksonville, IL.
She leaves her husband; a son Jeffrey (JoAnn) Tribble of Cantrall; 2 daughters, Carie A. Cothern of Springfield and Jennifer S. (Brad) Buhl of Zachary, LA; her grandchildren, Ashley and Emilee Buhl, Cameron Cothern, Ben and Brian Fulks, Brittany Millslagle, John and Sarah Millslagle, Brooke and Anthony; son-in-law Terry Millslagle; 2 great-grandchildren, Brayden and Meadow Fulks; 3 brothers John “Bill” (Sandy) Hobbs of Wichita, KS, Bruce Allen (Tara) Hobbs and David (Heather) Hobbs of Havana, IL; 1 sister Madeline Holland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John and Mary Hobbs; 3 brothers, James, C.L., and Jerry Hobbs; 1 sister Carol Ann Hobbs; and 1 daughter Traca Millslagle.
Jeannie and Ed started the Pentecostal Church of Rushville, IL in 1980 and pastored there till 1986. They then moved to Springfield and joined the Pentecostals of Springfield. The church in Rushville is still there. She was a prayer warrior and was always willing to pray for others. Jeannie worked retail in White Oaks Mall in Springfield for many years. She and her husband made and sold crafts for many years at Willow Creek Crafts. She enjoyed her crafts and her sewing room, always designing and making clothes and making flower arrangements. She also enjoyed her swing in her back yard, bird watching, and her geraniums, ferns, and mums.
Many other relatives and family will miss her dearly, as she was the Mom and Nana you could always go to. She was your best friend, confidante, and support system. She always signed off- “Love you more, Nana or Mama T.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield.
No services are scheduled at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
