Marianne Elizabeth Anderson Burlison McCann

Marianne was born on November 9, 1928 in Maricopa County, CA, the daughter of Edward and Gladys Fulp Anderson. She married James M. McCann in Springfield, IL on November 5, 1977.

She retired from Horace Mann where she worked in the marketing department. Marianne was a member of Heritage Free Will Baptist Church. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Her family and her dog were both very important to her.

Marianne was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Edward Anderson; her daughter, Suzanne Skeeters; and her grandson, Eric.

She is survived by her husband James of Springfield; her five children, Linda Burlison of Springfield, William (Diann) Burlison of Greenview, Rebecca Caldwell of Springfield, JoAnne Turley of Springfield, and Mathew (Kim) Burlison of Lincoln; step-children, Beth (Chris) Bordignon of Springfield and James (Dotty) McCann, Jr of Virden; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Daisy.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Funeral Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Ave. West, Springfield with Pastor Marcellus Leonard officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
