Margie was born June 5, 1922 in Springfield, the daughter of Thomas and Nellie Melton Merrick. She married Gilbert Stanley in 1941 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Margie was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Gary (Ruth Ann) Stanley of Glenarm, and Steve (Judith) Stanley of Springfield; two daughters, Sandra Harvey and Brenda Willett, both of Springfield; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
