Margaret Chapman, 69, a lifelong resident of Springfield died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the home of her sister Ellen White. She was born on June 30, 1938, the daughter of George and Ann Power Chapman. Her father and mother, and three brothers preceded her in death. Ms. Chapman retired as a Tax Analyst from the State of Illinois Department of Revenue. She enjoyed flower gardening, painting, animals and spending time with her family. She will be missed by her family who loved her deeply. Survivors: three sisters, Doris Kelly, Barbara (husband, George) Doerfler, Ellen (husband, Gary) White all of Springfield; and brother Ray (wife, Deanie) Chapman of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of ceremony at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
