Mae Herndon Noll

She was born on August 30, 1915 in Springfield, the daughter of Gray and Fanny Farrell Herndon. Her father was a great nephew of William Herndon, Abraham Lincoln’s law partner. She married Conrad Noll, Jr. in 1939 in Springfield. He preceded her in death in 1990.

Mrs. Noll was a graduate of Springfield High School and the University of Michigan, where she was a member of the Tri-Delta Sorority and received a degree in Art.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Shaver (husband, Robert), and sons Conrad Noll III (wife, Judy) and Jon Gray Noll (wife, Ida “Pinky”), grandchildren Susan Kehoe of Clifton, VA., Jon Shaver of Centennial, CO., Lindsey Noll of Seattle, WA., Charlene Noll of Davis, CA., Conrad Noll IV of Northbrook, IL., Robert Shaver, Gail Milhiser, Mae Noll-Llosa, Gray Noll, Robert Noll and Daniel Noll all of Springfield, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday September 21, 2010 in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Mae Noll’s name be made to Illinois College, Office of Advancement 1101 W. College Ave. Jacksonville,IL 62650.
