Lynne Turner Rouse, 60, of Springfield, died at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at St. John’s Hospice. Lynne was born August 8, 1946 in Portland, OR, the daughter of Charles Robert and Vernie Pauline Duncan Turner. She married Leon Rouse in 1974 in Missouri. Lynne was a 1964 graduate of Carlinville High School. She was employed as the reception manager at SIU School of Medicine until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Palmyra, IL. She was a very kind and giving lady. Lynne enjoyed shopping and cooking; her Hungarian Stew was a family favorite. She loved the holidays. Decorating for Christmas was one of her passions. Most of all Lynne loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Randy Scott; her twin brother: Scott Turner; and brother: Donald Craig Turner. She is survived by her husband: Leon Rouse of Springfield; two daughters: Rhonda (fiancé, Steve) Carlisle and Melissa (husband, Ron) Hubbard both of Springfield; three grandchildren: Nicole Clemons and Morgan and Mackenzie Hubbard; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Charles L. Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Palmyra.
