Linda Kay Sharp, 66, of Sherman, died at 12:08 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at St. John's Hospital. Linda was born September 19, 1948 in Springfield, the daughter of Michael and Dorothy DeRose Cooney. She married Curtis Sharp on July 9, 1971 in Springfield. Linda retired from Horace Mann in September of 2013 as a senior data operations analyst. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carol McCann. She is survived by her husband, Curtis of Sherman; two daughters, Michelle Sharp of Sherman and Allison (husband, Tom) Blattau of Tampa, FL; grandson, Maddox Blattau; an aunt; an uncle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.
