Linda K. Johnson, 59, of Springfield, died on September 3, 2008 at St. John's Hospital. Linda was born on March 5, 1949 in Springfield, the daughter of Kenneth and Marjorie Buhl Wallace. Linda worked as a receiving clerk at Shopko for 24 years. She was a sweet, loveable woman who enjoyed reading, cooking, and especially spending time with her granddaughter. Linda was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Danny; her mother, Marjorie of Springfield; her daughter, Cristy (husband, David) Coleman Boysel of Athens; her granddaughter, Sidnee Lane Boysel; siblings, Michael (Jeanne) Wallace of Springfield, Wendy (husband, Jerry) Fry of Petersburg, and K.C. (wife, Bing) Wallace of Taylorville; in addition to several nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held at a later date, followed by cremation, accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
