Linda P. Adams

Linda P. Carlisle-Adams was born on October 27th, 1957 in Springfield. She was raised by her parents, Merle "Wayne" Carlisle and Helen P. DeLong-Carlisle. She had two older brothers, Milton "Butch", Edward "Eddie", and a sister, Margaret "Margie", all born to Wayne and Helen. She attended high school at Grace Baptist Academy, from where she graduated in 1976 and was a member of Grace Baptist Church for many years. She attended Bob Jones University in South Carolina from 1976 to 1978. She married James "Jim"Adams, Jr., a childhood friend, on August 10th, 1979. Jim was stationed in Germany and the couple moved there shortly after they married. Whilst in Germany, Linda and Jim welcomed their twin daughters, Katherine "Katie" and Merlinda "Missy" on July 22nd, 1980. The couple moved back home to the U.S. after an extended period of time. Linda worked in several fields over the years. Her last occupation was a CNA/PTA for St. Francis Convent. She welcomed her son-in-law Robert Oller in 2002 and her son-in-law Ryan Gentry in 2005. On March 15th, 2006, Linda and Jim joyously welcomed their twin grandsons, Reese and Ross Oller, born to their daughter Missy and son-in-law, Robert. Linda lost her true love, Jim, on May 21st, 2006. Linda passed away on September 13th, 2010 at 9:59 A.M. Linda is survived by her daughters, grandsons, brother Butch (Gaila), sister Margaret Schwarz, step-son Benjamin Adams and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direciton of Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen Springfield, where a memorial service will be held at 9:00 am Friday September 17, 2010 with Rev. Richard Brady officiating. Inurnment will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
