Lawrence Wright, age 91, of Chatham, passed away on November 13, 2014 at Sunrise Nursing and Rehabilitation in Virden. He is the son of Ira and Essie Wright. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Sheila Strukely, four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife Beulah, a daughter, Debbie (Rick) Carey, one sister Mildred Williams, four grandchildren, Ronald and Brent (Cathy) Strukely, Ryan and Eric Carey, three great grandchildren, Elijah, Faith and Isaac Strukely and numerous nieces and nephews. Lawrence and his brother Lloyd were owners of Wright�s Super Market in Girard for several years before forming their own construction business from which he retired in 1988. He enjoyed family and caring for his home. He was a hard worker and taught his grandchildren a good work ethic. His family will greet friends from 10am until funeral services at noon, Monday, November 17, 2014 at Staab Polk Memorial Home in Chatham, IL 62629, with Pastor Brian Wilmarth officiating.
