Larry was born in Carlinville, Illinois.
Larry is a United States Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran. He was a proud survivor of the 1st Battalion 9th Marines, “Walking Dead”. Prior to retirement he worked seventeen years as a Veterans Representative for the Unemployment Office in Springfield, Illinois.
He had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past four years coming from Springfield, Illinois.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Lynda K. Pratt; one daughter, Tracey Lewis; one son, Michael and his wife Lisa Pratt; six grandchildren, Ashley Ford, Lt. Nicholas “Nick” Garcia, David Garcia, Reid Pratt, Lily Lewis and Hope Lewis.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held from 9:30 am till the time of the funeral service at 11:30 am,Monday, June 15, 2015. Rev. Robert Jallas will officiate.
Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County and the Department of Defense.
