Kenneth Hill Bush, 78, of Bloomington died at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Luther Oaks in Bloomington. Kenneth was born on July 3, 1938 in Dwight, IL the son of Lloyd W. and Margaret Braucher Bush. He married Carol F. O'Dell on July 6, 1963 in Denver, CO. They later divorced. He then married Helen L. Lueschen Brand on August 12, 2003, in Springfield. She preceded him in death. Kenneth, known for "exercising his curiosity", was a graduate of Rogers High School in Rogers, AR. He attended the University of Illinois and received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Drury University in 1960. He worked in Estes Park, CO during summer vacations throughout college. Kenneth was self-employed in the construction, real estate and investment fields. He also owned and operated a hatchery and feed business. Kenneth served in the Air National Guard and as a member of the Village and School Boards in Dwight. He was also a member of DeMolay and Rotary. . Kenneth was also preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Marshall and Doten Bush. He is survived by two daughters; Lynne (husband, Evan) Severson of Clinton and Leslie (husband, Brad) Pelc of Freeburg; two grandchildren, Devon and Nolan Severson; and the mother of his children, Carol F. Bush. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield Private family ceremonies will be held.
