She was born on May 16, 1953, in Springfield, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Hergenrother) Sheehan.
Kathy worked as a temp office worker for the State of Illinois. Prior to that, she had worked as a floral designer.
She is survived by her companion Loren Gandy of Springfield; 4 children, Shannon Holloway of Tuscaloosa, AL, Michael (Sharla) Murphy of Slidell, LA, Stephanie Calvert of Kenbridge, VA, and Stephen Calvert of Springfield; 3 step-daughters, Heather Gandy of Middletown, IL, Jennifer Gandy of Springfield, and Katlyn Gandy of Springfield; several grandchildren; and 5 siblings, Frank Sheehan of Springfield, Barbara (Bruce) Dorworth of Vacaville, CA, Pat Erwin of Elgin, IL, Michael Sheehan of Springfield, and Maureen Marsagila of Springfield.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Colleen Rhodes, and a sister in infancy Michelle Sheehan.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.
