Justine Marie Parkin, 75, of Springfield, died at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003 at St. John’s Hospice. Justine was born April 21, 1928 in Bagdad, Iraq the daughter of Najeeb and Theresa Andrea Kroumy. She married Frederick Parkin April 22, 1951 in Bagdad, Iraq; he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter: Patricia Hancox of Springfield; one son: Ronald Parkin of Scottsdale, AZ; one stepdaughter: Bobbie Ragen; three stepsons: Larry Parkin, Joe Parkin, Cramwell Parkin; three sisters: Alice Kroumy, Rose Taylor, Mary Kroumy; one brother: Tony Kroumy; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and Aly and Spencer. Friends may call at Church of the Little Flower from 10-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at Church of the Little Flower with Fr. Chuck Edwards celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Hospital, Hospice Program, 800 E. Carpenter, Springfield, IL 62702. The family of Justine M.
