Julius H. Miller Jr. 82, of Springfield, formerly of Normal, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012. He was born on December 13, 1929, in Carlock, the son of Julius and Katherine (Greiner) Miller. He married LaMoyne Bundy in Colfax, IL, on February 21, 1954. She Survives. Julius is also survived by three daughters; Marcia (Rex) Crossland, Springfield; Terri (Mark)Decker, Champaign; Tina (Jim) Bowen, LaVista Nebraska, three sons; Clifford and Todd Miller, Bloomington; Nels Miller, Washington, Iowa; 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters Mary Scheets and Dorothy Devore of Bloomington and two sisters –in-law, Karen Miller Hildreth, and T-Ann Miller both of Fairbury; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Richard and Raymond. Julius lived most of his adult life in the Bloomington-Normal area. He graduated from Normal Community High School and later joined the US Marine Corps, serving his country for three years during the Korean Conflict. After leaving the military, Julius farmed in the Colfax area, moved to Fairbury where he worked for Honegger Feeds. He retired from the Bloomington Post Office in 1994 having been a letter carrier for 30 years. Family and church were a focal point in his life. He served as treasurer and deacon at the Northside Church of Christ in Bloomington for many years. For the past 16 years he has been an active member of the Clearlake Church of Christ, currently serving as deacon there. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11 am at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E Allen St. Springfield IL 62703.
