Julie P. Barish Kemp, 59, of Springfield, passed away at 9:56 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Julie was born August 7, 1955 in Evergreen Park, IL, the daughter of Eugene W. and Elizabeth J. Walsh Barish. Julie attended St. Linus Grade School in Oak Lawn and then graduated from Mt. Assisi Academy in Lemont. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her daughter, her dog, Darby, and her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Megen (fiance, Amber Veselack) Kemp and Katie (wife, Krystal) Prince, both of Springfield; three siblings, Janet Hoch of Springfield, Joan (husband, Allan) Bowhill of Seattle, WA, and Eugene W. (wife, Marcy) Barish, Jr. of Algonquin, IL; three nieces; one great-niece; and one great-nephew. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Ceremonies and burial will be held at a later date.
