Jule A. Granneman, 83, of Springfield, died December 31, 2001 at 12:41 PM at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. Mrs. Granneman was born on December 17, 1918 the daughter of Peter and Anna Radazevich Kizevich in Springfield. She married George Granneman on February 7, 1942 at St. Barbara’s Church in Springfield and he survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Nellie Weymouth. Mrs. Granneman worked for Sangamo Electric during World War II, and later worked for Sangamon County in the Central Services Department. She was a member of the Church of the Little Flower, and a Cub Scout Den Mother. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. Mrs. Granneman enjoyed playing bridge, and was a Master bridge player. She was inspirational to all who knew her as an author, a teacher, an entertainer, and a giver of unremitting love. She was most proud of being a loving wife, mother and a wonderful grandmother. She will be missed dearly by her loving family and her friends. Survivors also include: four children: Dr. Richard (Wife-Billie) of Lindenhurst, IL, Dr. James (Wife-Debora) of Saline, MI, Joanne Yantis of Racine, WI, and Jane (Husband-Christopher) Hansen of St. Charles, IL, a brother, William (Wife-Sue) Kizevich of Bartlett, TN, and a cousin Isabelle Slavena of Springfield, seven grandchildren: Brian Granneman, Jennifer Yantis, Peter Granneman, Rachel Granneman, Lauren Hansen, Lindsey Granneman and Michael Hansen. She is also survived by several nieces and a nephew. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street from 4-7:00PM, with Wake Services at 4:00PM. The Funeral Mass was be held on Thursday, January 3, 2002 at Church of the Little Flower at 9:30AM, the Reverend Henry Schmidt, celebrant. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
