Joyce Irene Hoffman

She was born on November 7, 1936 in Walsh, IL, the daughter of the late Floyd and Edith (Hagen) Meyer. She married Charles F. Hoffman on August 30, 1958 in Springfield and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2001.

Joyce worked as the Administrative Director for Professional Investigations, Inc. She was a member of Cathedral of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Springfield. She was active in the choir at her church and also active with the Senior Citizens Center in Springfield.

She is survived by 3 children, Matthew Hoffman of Springfield, Timothy Hoffman of Springfield, and Jeri Hildebrand of Columbus, OH; 2 grandchildren, Chandler Hildebrand of Kent, OH, and Peyton Reid Hildebrand of Columbus, OH; her sister Anna Mae Decker of Texas; and her sister-in-law Judith Meyer of Colorado.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 1 sister Gloria Wiseman; 3 brothers, Lloyd (and his wife Phyllis), Ronnie (and his wife Dodie), and Frank Meyer; and 1 brother-in-law Don Decker.

Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 9 am until time of the funeral service at 10:30 am. The Very Rev. Andrew S. Hook will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield.
