Joseph R. Santini, 76, of Springfield, died at 4:05 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 at St. Joseph Home. Joseph was born February 16, 1938 in Springfield, the son of Richard and Mary Auricchio Santini. Joseph was a graduate of Lanphier High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a pilot, a photographer, loved sailing, and trap shooting. He owned and operated his own greenhouse and was a member of the Island Bay Yacht Club and Camp Coco. He was an avid history buff, especially the Civil War. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Christopher. He is survived by his two sisters, Dodie (husband George) Dresch of Springfield and Rosemarie (husband, Thomas) Giacomini of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Stevenson Dr., Springfield. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Church of the Little Flower with Rev. Msgr. John Ossola, celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
