John William Green, III “Little John”, 34, of Effingham, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2004 at his home in Effingham. John was born May 24, 1969 in Springfield, the son of John, Jr. and Phyliss Ramsey Green. Mr. Green owned his own candle business and coached little league. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Raymond Ramsey, two uncles: Darryll Green, Scott Ramsey; one cousin: Clifford “Dink” Ramsey and great grandmother: Angeline Barlow. He is survived by his son: Weston Green of Effingham; parents: John and Phyliss Green of Springfield; one sister: Kris (husband, Paul) Eisenbrandt of Springfield; grandparents: Bill & Betty Green of Springfield, Louise Ramsey of McAlester, OK; two nieces: Amber and Zowee Eisenbrandt of Springfield and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will receive friends from 4-7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Scott Brindley officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
