He was born March 19, 1926 in Springfield, the son of John H. and Blanche (Bolles) Eisele. On September 9, 1949 he married Dorothy Hilbert in Chicago.
John was a Graduate of Springfield High School and the University of Illinois, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. John worked for Fiat Allis (Allis Chalmers) as an engineer in senior management.
Mr. Eisele was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Elks Club, Motor Boat Club, and Yacht Club.
John enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was an avid fan of the Cubs, Bears and any team playing against the Cardinals. He was a loving family man, loyal friend, mentor, role model, and “A Good Man”.
He is survived by a son, Greg; two daughters, Susan and Carol; a daughter-in-law; two sons-in-law; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. John was preceded by his wife, Dottie Eisele in 2004 and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the Memorial Service at 2 PM Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel.
