Joanne M. Miller

Joanne M. (Kellus) Miller, 67, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at her home. Joanne was born on September 1, 1949, the daughter of Joseph P. and Olga J. (Egizi) Kellus. Joanne obtained a bachelors degree from Northern Illinois University. She retired in 2014 as an office manager at St. Agnes Catholic Church. "Nonna" enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, reading, crocheting and quilting. She also volunteered at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Justin (Mandi) Miller and Jessica (Aaron) Link both of Springfield; former husband, Bill Miller; grandchildren, Peyton and Carrie Ann Miller, and one granddaughter on the way; siblings, Jim (Pam) Kellus, Mary Lou Jones, Joe Kellus, Linda (John) Watts, Rosie Kellus of Springfield, and Theresa (Shane) Harbin of Athens; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert J. Jallas officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
