He was born in Springfield, September 4, 1965 the son of Wes and Cecelia (Britz) Nickelson. He was a graduate of Pleasant Plains High School and attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
Jeff was employed by Henry Technologies in Chatham, IL for several years. Some of his favorite activities were reading, biking, bowling, golfing watching sports and visiting with family and friends. He greatly appreciated all of those who visited him while he was in the hospital.
He is survived by his mother, Cecelia Nickelson, his brothers: Dave, Brian and Doug Nickelson, his sister, Charisse Froemke, 13 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wes in January 2018 and his brother, Brad in March of 2023.
A graveside service will be held in Old Salem Cemetery, west of Springfield, Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11:00 am. Pastor Steve Smith will officiate.
