Springfield, IL, Jeffrey “Jeff” L. Moore, 64, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. He was born on June 25, 1953 in Quincy, IL to Roger and JoAnn (Kirsch) Moore.
Jeff worked as a postal collector for the U.S. Postal Service for the past 39 years. In 2010, Jeff was the recipient of the One Million Mile Club for attaining 1,000,000 miles and accident free records.
Jeff was a member of the Elk’s Club #158. Jeff enjoyed playing golf, bowling, playing cards, watching deer, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Fighting Illini, and his coffee and breakfast from McDonald’s. His greatest joy was being Gramps & Papa Jeff to his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
He is survived by his daughter Kim (Joby) Crum of Springfield and son Brian (Amanda) Moore of Springfield; four grandchildren, Brooklyn, Joseph, and Ryne Crum and Ethan Moore; three siblings, Mike (Julie) Moore of Jacksonville, Sharon (Mike) Manker of Jacksonville, and Amy (Danny) Williams of North Augusta, SC; two nieces, three nephews, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
Per Jeff’s wishes, cremation rites were accorded.

Memorial Gathering: 1-4 pm on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Bisch West Funeral Home. Please wear your favorite Cardinals, Illini or sports gear.
Private committal will be at Roselawn Cemetery at a later date.
