Jeff McDermott

Jeff was born April 12, 1966 in Bridgeport, CT, the son of Clement and Gail Harvey McDermott.

Jeff was employed with Comcast and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His hobbies included boating and playing one-handed pool.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy McDermott and paternal and maternal grandparents.

He is survived by his son, Dalton (Megan) McDermott of Springfield; daughter, Amanda McDermott of Summerfield, FL; three grandchildren, Mackenna, Journey, and Dartagnan; parents, Clem and Gail McDermott of Springfield; siblings, Randy McDermott of Springfield and Lorie Hagele of Holmes Beach, FL; six nieces; three nephews; and his loyal dog, Buddy.

Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.

Funeral Ceremony and Visitation: 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Ave. West, Springfield wth Rev. Levi Vincent officiating. Visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m.
