Jeanette K. Miller

Jeanette was born October 16, 1948, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Harold and Dorothy Robinson Harms. She married Gary E. Miller on March 4, 1967, at Atwater Christian Church.

Jeanette was employed with the Joliet Arsenal Plant and then as a secretary at the Presbyterian Church in Chatham for 35 years. After leaving the Presbyterian Church, she worked at the Illinois Presbyterian Home until her retirement. Jeanette was a member of the Atwater Christian Church and then Chatham Presbyterian Church where she was active with many activities. She enjoyed cross stitching, needlepoint, baking, and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jeanette was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law, Darrell Bellm and Richard Schlenther.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Gary E. Miller of Springfield; son, Scott (Nancy) Miller of Springfield; daughters, Kris Miller of Springfield and Jennifer (Eric) Branham of Chatham; grandchildren, Alyssa (Austin) Spencer, Addison Miller, Kirsten (Zach) Beaman, Katie Bolinger, Emma Bolinger, Damian (Samantha) Griffin, Kaitlyn (Josh) Humphress, Shelby (Jacob Dilley) Griffin, Peyton Branham, and Denise Branham; great-grandchildren, Moira Griffin, Bennett Zarzycki, Brantley Griffin, Jasper Humphress, Kambree Humphress, and Joshua Humphress, Jr.; sisters, Karen Bellm and Gail (Richard) Hazelwood; sister-in-law, Marlene Schlenther; and several nieces, nephews and her little puppy “Charlie”.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home-Chatham, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, IL.

Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home-Chatham with Richard Hazelwood officiating.

Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
