Janet Ann Wall

Janet was born on March 1, 1946 in Springfield, the daughter of Frederick M. and Fairy Jeane Masterson Boosinger. She married Edward Michael Wall on October 14, 1967 at Atonement Lutheran Church of which she was a charter member. He preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her father; and infant brother, David Boosinger.

Janet was a 1964 graduate of Springfield High School and attended Illinois State University. She was employed with the St. Johns Hospital personnel department for more than 20 years and worked for Standard Mutual Insurance. Janet enjoyed quilting, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends, especially grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Michelle A. (husband, Thomas) Sidener of Springfield, Matthew M. (wife, Glaucia) Wall of Avon, IN, and Daniel T. Wall of Alvin, TX; five grandchildren, Newt A. and Amethyst J. Sidener of Springfield, and Isabella N., Juliana K., and Sophia C. Wall, all of Avon, IN; mother, Jeane Boosinger of Springfield; three siblings, Sylvia B. (husband, Ed) Gray of Dallas, TX, Dan F. Boosinger of Danville, IL, and Ray A. (wife, Barbara) Boosinger of Springfield; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Ave. West, Springfield.

Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Griffis officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
