Hazel J. Noble, 97, of Springfield died at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2001 at Walnut Ridge Healthcare Center in Springfield. She was born May 3, 1903 the daughter of Frank and Sarah Goodwin Jones in Springfield, Ilinois. She married Charles T. Noble in 1922 in Springfield. Mrs. Noble was a life long resident of Springfield and retired from Sangamo Electric as a meter inspector after more than 25 years of service. She was a member of Peter Cartwright United Methodist Church in Pleasant Plains, Illinois. Hazel had a great love for Bingo. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles T. Walsh in 1971 and two brothers, Leonard & Frank Jones, Jr. Surviving are one sister, Elizabeth A. Zink of Springfield; several nieces and nephews. The family of Hazel J. Noble is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 South Sixth Street in Springfield. Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at Peter Cartwright Methodist Church in Pleasant Plains, Illinois, Rev. E. Michael Jones officiating.
