Harry Michael Wolper, 69, of Springfield, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at his home. Harry was born November 7, 1940 in Chicago, the son of Emil and Virginia Wolper. He married Sheila M. Powell, his companion of twenty years. Harry served as a tank crewman in the U.S. Army. He worked as a parking garage attendant and his father owned several businesses where Harry would work whenever needed. Harry will be remembered as a very intelligent, funny, good natured, down to earth guy who loved animals. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Wolper of Springfield; a son, Cash Francis-Wolper of Springfield; a stepson, Sean A. Miller of Chicago; a daughter, Shyne (husband, Erik) Krefting of Chicago; two stepdaughters, Nancy Francis and Tammie Gristy, both of Springfield; and three grandchildren, Justina, Lucas and Princeton.
