Gloria J. Peterson

Gloria J. Peterson, 95, of Springfield, passed away on December 17, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 14, 1927 in Wellston, Ohio to James Reed and Evelyn Reed. Gloria married Kenneth A. Peterson in Springfield on September 21, 1966 and he preceded her in death on June 23, 2002.

Mrs. Peterson is survived by her children: Vicki (John) Wilson, Michael (Tina) Peterson, daughter-in-law Laura Peterson, thirteen grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Carlton Reed and Kent Reed, her sons: Donald Walker and Jack Peterson and her great-grandson Gabriel Cooley.

Gloria retired as a credit manager at Memorial Medical Center in 1990 after twenty three years of service. She was a member of Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Springfield, YMCA, Abraham Lincoln Chapter 959 Order of the Eastern Star, The Ansarettes and she volunteered at the Memorial Medical Center Gift Shop.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday January 14, 2023 at Cathedral Church of St. Paul. 815 South Second Street. The family will meet friends from 10:00am until the time of service Saturday at Church.
