Gary G. Haynes, 41, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at his residence. Gary was born July 14, 1975 in Springfield, the son of Diana Haynes Carter. Gary attended Southeast High School and worked for numerous restaurants in the Springfield area as a server. He enjoyed gambling, BINGO, listening to music, shopping, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; grandmother, Mary Wahlsmith; and two aunts, Dorothy Franklin and Debra Clark. He is survived by his aunt, Lori Haynes; two uncles, Bobby Wahlsmith and Lonnie (Karla) Taber; five cousins, Mary (Jake) Krumwiede, Donna (George) Young, Jamie Drew, Christina Taber, and Leon Taber, Jr., all of Springfield; and many second cousins and friends. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September, 21, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield, IL 62703. Cremation will be provided following ceremonies by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
