Freya "Gram" Dawn Wilkinson, 74, of Virden, passed away at 6:54 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at St. John's Hospital. Freya was born December 1, 1940 in Oakland, CA, the daughter of Milton Teffetiller and Jessie Leffler. She married George "Papa" Wilkinson in 1964; he preceded her in death in 2009. Freya assisted her husband with his floor covering installation business, retiring in 2000. Freya was a member of the Elks Club and the Springfield Women's Bowling Association. She enjoyed chatting on the phone with family and friends, spending time with grandchildren and family, traveling, bowling, watching movies, hunting, and fishing. Freya was an avid Broncos fan, an animal lover, and a collector of unicorns. She was a caring and unselfish person who knew no strangers. She was also preceded in death by her parents and grandson-in-law, Brian McMillen. Freya is survived by her two daughters, Kelly (Steve) Manci of Springfield and Jackie (Danny) Pearce of Pawnee; six grandchildren, Dalton Manci, Ryan (Kim) Pearce, Angela (Nick) Ressler, Danielle (Eric) Marks, and Zach (Erin) and Dillon Pearce; six great-grandchildren, Karly, Reagan, Colton, Keagan, Madelyn, and Aubrey; one sister, Kay (Salvatore) DeStefano of Lancaster, PA; brother-in-law, Paul (Cheryl) Wilkinson of Monroe, MI; three nieces and one nephew; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and two beloved dogs, Hank and Tad. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, with Pastor Todd Brewer officiating.
