Florence Marie Vaughn, 46, of Springfield passed away at 10:46 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2002 at St. John’s Hospital Emergency Room. Florence was born July 11, 1956 the daughter of Sam and Florence Danner Aiello in Springfield. She married William J. Vaughn on July 9, 1977 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Springfield. Mrs. Vaughn was the owner and operator of City Delivery Service. She was also a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church where she had previously been a Sunday School Teacher, served on the Board of Directors on the Children’s Supper Hour and had been a member of the Pastor-Parish Community. She enjoyed bowling and was a member and a sponsor of the City Delivery Bowling Team. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband: William; two sons: David Vaughn of Springfield, Airman Bill Vaughn of Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, IL; one sister-in-law: Reta Ward of Springfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2002. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Reverend William Burton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
